Andrew Aiken

Andrew finished his training and qualified as an Accountant in 1981. Having established his own practice shortly afterwards, he then moved his practice to Lisburn in 1990 before moving to our current purpose built offices in 1995.

Andrew has always been interested in financial planning, and worked with his clients in investigating tax planning opportunities using financial products. In early 1995, Roger Kennedy and Andrew discussed establishing a financial planning practice, initially to service the clients of his accountancy practice. Roger and Andrew got the business up and running in July 1995 but with the business plan to develop this further, and many years later here they still are.

He still runs his accountancy practice, Aiken & Co, servicing the SME sector with general Accountancy, Tax and Audit advice. Within the AKFP Group, he manages our Tax Planning department, specialising in Private Client and Corporate Tax Planning.

Married to Clare, they have two daughters, Sarah (who is following in his footsteps by training as an Accountant) and Susie, who is now at University. A keen follower of many sports, particularly rugby, Andrew’s spare time is often taken up with church and family commitments, as well as catching up on business magazines and articles.
